In second grade, they are learning about 2D and 3D shapes during math time.. During science, they are on moon phases, stars and the earth. For ELA, they are reading The Boxcar Children "The Mystery of The Mummy Curse."
2nd grade classes are studying the life cycle of the chicken egg. Each class is incubating eggs to see how many hatch after their incubation period. When they first get them, it usually takes 20 to 21 days for them to hatch. Mrs. Orton's class has four days left before their eggs are suppose to hatch. Mrs. Hamby's eggs have already started hatching!
