List of Program Promotional Activities
Each Year before Course Request Day-Healthcare Pathway Flyers and Posters put up around school, CTAE Pathway Promotional Video shown during lunch in the cafeteria and shown to homeroom classes
Throughout the School Year-Healthcare and HOSA activities submitted to the news media-activities routinely posted on Fannin County High School’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Activities routinely submitted to our local newspapers for publishing. Upcoming healthcare and HOSA events added to our daily school announcements.
Throughout the School Year-Healthcare student participate in healthcare related additional activities and trips including but not limited to:
· Field Trips
· Guest Speakers
· HOSA Events and Meetings
· Sports Medicine Events-Students Trainers Program, Physicals and Concussion Testing
· Scrub Days-Healthcare Students Wear Scrubs
Throughout the School Year-Job Shadowing/Clinical Rotation Opportunities
Upper level HSTE students are given the opportunity to participate in clinical rotations at the local assisted living facility, EMS, pharmacy, etc. Students also participate in the student athletic training program for athletic events. During these opportunities students wear blue scrubs or sports medicine attire which in turn promotes our program.
3/2022-8th Grade Parent Night
Parents met in our Performing Arts Center where displays were set up to promote the healthcare pathways. Parents were able to meet with teachers and students to explore the different pathways offered at FCHS. Flyers and brochures are given out as promotional tools at this event.
3/2022-8th Grade CTAE Pathway Presentation
Selected students from each CTAE Pathway go to the middle school and give a brief overview of their Career Pathway offered at the high school
7/28/22 Upcoming 9th Grader’s Orientation
Information about the high school was provided to rising 9th grade students. Healthcare students set up an information table with equipment, flyers and brochures provided. HOSA officers greeting rising 9th grade students and passed out promotional materials.
8/16/22-8/18/22-HOSA Officers Speak with Freshmen Classes
HOSA Officers spoke with all freshmen classes to promote HOSA and Healthcare Pathways/Courses.
09/26/22-5th Graders from East Fannin Elementary School toured our CTAE classes.
Students from the Healthcare classes provided mini lessons and hands on activities for the 5th grade students on Infant CPR, Adult CPR, and assessing a radial pulse.
11/18/22- 5th Graders from West Fannin Elementary School toured our CTAE classrooms.
Students from the Healthcare classes provided mini lessons and hands on activities for the 5th grade students on Infant CPR, Adult CPR, and assessing a radial pulse.
