Join us and get some added intellectual challenge!
Join us and experience chemistry outside of the classroom! You are fully prepared.
Learn about the structure of nanomaterials, how to model that structure computationally, and why this matters for sustainable energy.
Strengthen your chemistry knowledge.
Join a community of students who share your love of the sciences. 2nd year students serve as peer-mentors.
Connect with international researchers through collaboration with the PSU 2DCC while immersed in the F&M liberal arts environment.
Become competitive for other internships and research experiences.
Present your work at scientific conferences.
Students use ReaxFF software to model reactions of nanomaterials relevant to solar energy storage and conversion.
Each student carries out a variation on a problem the whole group is working on, then we combine data.
Group meetings provide training, scientific background and context.
All students at F&M are invited to participate! Join our group on Ampersand!
Come to 1 hour group meeting/week
Bring your own laptop. We will provide you with the necessary software, which can be run on a typical PC, Mac, or Linux laptop.
Of course you are! Your time management skills will be challenged in your first semester.
This is designed to be a flexible experience that offers opportunities, not obligations. Join as you can and reduce your hours when needed. You are always welcome back!
