Thanksgiving Break begins Tuesday, November 21, at 6:05 pm.
The College requires all students who are staying in on or off campus college-owned properties for any or all of the Thanksgiving Break to complete this Registration Form. By completing this form you are registered to stay in your residence hall room over the break and your card access will remain active. The deadline to register is NOON on Monday, November 13.
All students staying in on campus residence halls for any part of Thanksgiving Break are required to have the Thanksgiving Break Plan at the cost of $100. This plan includes a 8 swipe meal plan to be used in Steinman College Center. (see below for more details).
IMPORTANT: Remaining in your on or off campus, college-owned residence over Break without registering will result in a $50 fee added to your student account and a delay (due to the holiday) in re-activation of residence hall card access.
Departing campus: Card access for students who are not registered to stay on campus for the break will be deactivated by 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22.
Returning to campus: Classes resume at 8:00 am on Monday, November 27. Dorm card access will be restored at 12:00pm on Sunday, November 26. Semester meal plans will be reactivated at 5:00 pm for dinner on Sunday, November 26.
Anyone on a meal plan will have an opportunity to use a swipe for lunch until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21.
President Barbara Altmann invites all students who are registered to remain on campus to a Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday, November 22 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm in the Catering Suite. Look for the email invite and RSVP coming soon!
All students who attend President Altmann's Thanksgiving lunch will receive a box meal option for Thursday, November 23/Thanksgiving day. Please note, all food venues will not be open Thursday, November 23.
Students that register to stay for break, are required to purchase an 8-meal plan in the amount of $100 to be used at the Steinman College Center over break. Students registered to stay that live in a Roschel apartment, Harbaugh House, Sustainability House or Wellness House are not required to purchase the meal plan. The food venues in Steinman College Center will be available for take out meals only. The remainder of the Steinman building is closed over the break.
Entrance into Steinman for Thanksgiving Break will be through the card reader door that faces College Ave. Students will need their ID cards to enter the building and also to “swipe” the meal from your Thanksgiving Break meal plan. Please remember to bring your ID card.
No other food venues will be open over break on campus. See Basic Needs page for a list of grocery stores, Lancaster Loop schedule and other food resources around the Lancaster Community that is available to you.
