The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team gets ready for two Centennial Conference games this week. The Diplomats host Dickinson (1-4, 0-1 CC) Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. F&M will then travel to play Haverford (2-3, 1-0 CC) Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Franklin & Marshall fell to Ursinus, 88-87, as the Bears made the game-winning layup in the closing seconds to win. John Seidman led the Diplomats in scoring with 23 points in the game. In their most recent matchup, the Diplomats defeated the Red Devils 64-58 in February. Seidman dropped a game-high 22 points while shooting 50 percent (8-of-16) from the field and tallied 12 rebounds to complete a double-double in the contest. Franklin & Marshall swept Haverford last season with its most recent victory coming in January, 71-57. Every starter for F&M finished with double-digit scoring as Omar Nichols led the way with 19 points. Josh Parra closely followed, dropping 18 points while shooting 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from the field. Dickinson Team Preview
Dickinson's only win this season came against Allegheny College, where the Red Devils pushed past the Gators, 78-62. Dickinson's only CC game this season was a 58-52 overtime loss to McDaniel last week. Forward Martin Mann averages a team-high 13.8 points per game this season. Mann leads the CC in field goal percentage, shooting 60 percent (30-of-50).
Haverford Team Preview
Haverford's only CC victory came against Washington College, 78-56, last Tuesday. Forward Nate Torres leads the Fords in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per game. Torres also leads Haverford in rebounding, claiming 7.2 boards per contest. As a team, Haverford ranks second in the CC in defensive rebounds per game, averaging 30.8 so far this season.
