Students in need of long-term medical and/or mental health care over breaks should find alternative care with a practice that is “in network” with their insurance provider. If you have the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP):
Check out this website for available in-network providers. Enter your info and select the "PPO Blue" plan, add Lancaster, PA (within 10 miles) for the location. This will give you up-to-date information and will allow you to compare providers by area, number of people in a practice, and whether a provider is accepting new patients.
If you do not have the Student Health Insurance Program, but rather, another form of insurance, please call the number on the back of your insurance card to locate in-network care providers for medical and mental health care.
If you are in need of low-cost care, including dental care, please call the Lancaster Health Center.
For health emergencies, visit Lancaster General Health Hospital, 526 N. Lime St., 717-544-5122, or see the Crisis Page for other resources.
Counseling Services has a lot of resources about caring for your mental health, including over the holidays, on their website. You can also see their blog here.
