Letters for Graduation Guests

These letters are often used when the individuals apply for a visa (typically a tourist visa) or when they are at the port of entry (especially if they do not speak English fluently).  Some US Consulates do not care about them and never read them, but some families feel better with them.

The letter will cite your name, date of our graduation, and the family members' personal details (date of birth, relationship to you, and citizenship).

Please note that the letter alone will not suffice for evidence needed to prove non-immigrant intent for a tourist visa.  The Consulate will likely want to see that family members have a plan for returning home, etc. The letter simply verifies a purpose they have for coming to the US.

To request a visitation letter for graduation guests, please log into your iss.fandm.edu portal.  Find "(4)  ISS Requests", and under "How can we help you?"  please find the specific letter request that you need.

Please expect letter processing to take 2-3 business days. You will receive an email instructing you to download PDFs of the letters from your portal.

NOTE - these letters do NOT serve as a ticket into the ceremony.  Tickets will be managed by the College, and students will receive further information during the semester.
