The following positions will be appointed by the newly-elected President and Vice President of the Congress:
Treasurer of the Congress
Parliamentarian
Communications Director
Executive Officer for Social Justice and Equity

Position Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Treasurer of the Congress
Maintain a budget of expenses and oversee all matters of Congress finance including allocation and distribution of the budget.
Provide The Congress with an overview of the budget at General Assembly meetings should there be an inquiry.
Formulate, direct, execute, and publish the student budget.
Order an audit of any student organization receiving money from the Congress.
Annually review established appropriations by-laws and guidelines and to recommend necessary changes or amendments to the Congress for approval.
Be charged with allocating funds to the Committees of The Diplomatic Congress.
Be a voting Member of the Congress.
Responsibilities of the Parliamentarian
Interpret the Constitution, Bylaws, and proposals of the Diplomatic Congress and ensure that all Diplomatic Congress actions are in accordance with the Constitution, its Bylaws, and Robert’s Rules of Order.
Conduct a regular review of the Diplomatic Congress Constitution, Bylaws, and proposals.
Evaluate, help to draft, present, and interpret all formal amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws.
Reserve the right to form a Policy Action Committee to aid in the drafting of proposals.
Create and execute an orientation program to familiarize new members with the protocols and procedures of The Diplomatic Congress.
Serve as the Historian of the Congress and shall ensure the integrity of all congressional archives and records.
Be a voting Member of the Congress.
Responsibilities of the Communications Director
Keep and disseminate meeting minutes, congressional reports, and other relevant materials to the General Assembly, Congress, and College community.
Effectuate all outward facing communication campaigns, including but not limited to, posters, mass email communications, the webpage and social media.
Assist in the drafting and dissemination of student polls and surveys.
Be a voting Member of the Congress.
Responsibilities of the Executive Officer for Social Justice and Equity
Advocate for marginalized students and proactively address student concerns related to diversity, equity, and/or inclusion on campus.
Develop relationships and collaborate regularly with leaders from all identity-based, inclusivity, and diversity-related student organizations, including but not limited to Agencies and Club Council-recognized organizations.
Work directly with student organizations to advocate for underrepresented students on the administration level by bringing concerns of diverse students to the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of the President and the Senior Staff, and Faculty Council.
Collaborate with and help sustain the missions of diversity and inclusion offices, such as: Faith & Meaning, Multicultural Affairs, The Alice Drum Women’s Center, LGBTQ+ Student Life, International Programs, and Student Accessibility Services.
Serve as the liaison between the Diplomatic Congress and the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Demonstrate a continued commitment to greater diversity, equity, and inclusion with an intersectional and multicultural emphasis.
Serve as the Chair of the Diversity Committee.
Be the primary point person in the planning of Congressional Diversity initiatives, like Diversity Week.
Serve as the student representative on the Committee on Faculty Diversity & Inclusion and the Trustee Enrollment Committee.
Serve as a member of the Executive Board and be a voting member of the Congress.
