ID3Editor Pro is a high-performance, web-based tool designed to organize and edit the metadata of your MP3 files. Every digital music file contains hidden information called "ID3 tags"—this includes the artist name, album title, track number, and even the album cover art.
This application allows you to view these tags, modify them for better library organization, and embed high-quality images directly into your audio files. Whether you are fixing a single track or preparing an entire album for distribution, ID3Editor Pro provides the professional tools needed to ensure your music library is perfectly cataloged and compatible with all modern media players and DJ software.
To begin editing your music, you first need to load your files into the application.
Adding Files: Click the + Add button in the top-right of the sidebar. You can select multiple MP3 files from your computer.
Selecting a Track: Once files are loaded, click on any file name in the sidebar list. The main editor will open, and the built-in audio player will load that track.
Audio Preview: Use the player at the top of the editor area to listen to your track. Below the player, the File Info Panel displays technical data like file size, bitrate, and duration.
When a file is selected, you can modify any of the following fields in the main panel:
Text Fields: Update the Title, Artist, Album, Composer, and Label.
Numerical Data: Adjust the Year, Track Number, and BPM (Beats Per Minute).
Genre: Click the Genre box to see a list of over 500 musical genres, or simply type in your own.
Release Date & ISRC: Professional fields for tracking the specific release day and International Standard Recording Code.
Star Rating: Click the stars (1–5) to set a personal rating for the track.
Barcode Scanner: Click the camera icon next to the Barcode field to scan a physical CD or Vinyl barcode using your webcam.
Album Art (Record Sleeve): Click the square image placeholder on the left side of the editor. Select a JPG or PNG file from your computer (square images like 500x500px or 1000x1000px work best).
The Smart Batch Apply tool is the fastest way to organize your library when you have many files that share the same information. Instead of typing the same details twenty times, you can do it once and "broadcast" that info to a group of files.
Imagine you have uploaded 10 tracks that all belong to the artist "Jonas Lund" and the genre "Electronic."
Select the "Source" File: Click on the first track in your sidebar to open it in the editor.
Fill in the Details: In the editor, type Jonas Lund in the Artist field and select Electronic in the Genre field.
Select the "Target" Files: In the sidebar, click the checkboxes next to all the tracks you want to update (or use the "Select All" checkbox at the top).
Open Batch Tool: Click the Smart Batch Apply button located under the album art preview on the left.
Configure the Sync: A window will pop up. Uncheck all fields except Artist and Genre. This ensures you only copy those two specific details and don't accidentally overwrite unique information like "Track Titles."
Apply: Click Apply Selected.
Use Individual Editing for unique details like Track Titles, Track Numbers, and ISRC Codes.
Use Batch Apply for shared details like Artist Name, Album Title, Release Year, Genre, and Album Art.
ID3Editor Pro does not modify your original files; it creates newly tagged versions for you to save.
Individual Save: Click the large red Save & Download MP3 button. The file will download to your computer with "tagged_" added to the filename.
ZIP Download: Check the boxes for multiple files in the sidebar and click ⬇️ ZIP. The app will process all selected tracks and download them in a single compressed folder.
CSV Export (Tracklists): Click ⬇️ CSV to download a spreadsheet containing all the metadata for every file in your current list. This is the best way to create a digital archive or a printable tracklist of your collection. The CSV includes all fields, from Artist and Title to BPM and Barcodes.
Load all files for the album into the sidebar.
Select the first song and fill in all shared info: Artist, Album, Year, Genre, Label, and Album Art.
Check all files in the sidebar.
Use Smart Batch Apply to copy that shared info to the entire list.
Go through each song individually to type in the specific Track Title and Track Number.
Export a CSV if you want a spreadsheet record of the album metadata.
Save the collection by using the ZIP button to download the finished album.
