Welcome,
My name is Chanta Jackson. I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia and have been living in North Carolina for 10 years now. I have been a high school counselor my entire career. I have worked in traditional schools, early college, alternative school as well as charter schools. My husband and I have a baby girl name Alexandria Grace, a baby boy name Immanuel Howard and a Yorkshire terrier (dog) name "Major". In our spare time, we enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors and with family, discovering and supporting local businesses, and completing DIY projects.
I received my education from Fort Valley State University (Fort Valley, GA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (Minneapolis, MN) with a Master of Arts in Counseling & Student Personnel Psychology.
The thing I enjoy most about being a school counselor is being in a position to guide and support student's with resources that will aid their success. I enjoy witnessing students "beat the odds" and ultimately write their story. In grade school, my middle school counselor impacted me most. She is the reason I chose this career.
I hope that this website will be of great resource to you!
Mrs. Jackson!
