Board Member Profiles

Ms. Muscia grew up in Livingston Manor and graduated from Livingston Manor Central School. She holds a degree in Computer Engineering Technology and has worked for Elevance Health for over 25 years. Ms. Muscia currently lives in South Fallsburg with her husband and two children. Her son is a Fallsburg graduate and her daughter currently attends Fallsburg.  Ms. Muscia taught religious education for many years in Monticello and was a Girl Scout troop leader. She has also volunteered in the district in classrooms and with the Robotics program. She believes that “education is the most powerful investment we can make in our children’s lives. We all must come together and be partners in this endeavor if our students are to be successful, both in school and in life.”  

A graduate of Brooklyn College, Ms. Kates was employed by the Fallsburg Central School District for 33 years. She was PTO president for 5 years prior to becoming an employee of the District. Ms. Kates was one of the first parent volunteers in the elementary school starting in 1979, and she has worked closely with many teachers over the years. 

Colleen Picciotti grew up in Northern Virginia outside Washington DC.  She went to College at Rochester Institute of Technology graduating early with a BFA in advertising photography.  She lived in New York City for 14 years prior to moving to Glen Wild with her husband and 2 children who attend Fallsburg.  She has owned and operated her own still life photography business for the last 17 years.  She has been an active member of the BCES PTA and is currently president.  Her and her husband started the Fallsburg AYSO soccer league in 2024.  She believes in fair and equitable education for all students and enjoys collaborating with the community and school staff to make Fallsburg the best it can be.
