Dear Parents,
Welcome to the BCES library webpage. My mission for the BCES library program is to support the district and Common Core curriculum, district initiatives, and the educational needs of the entire school community. I also hope to foster a life-long love of reading by maintaining a varied and relevant collection of resources for my learning community.
the Cross County Reading Challenge 2023-24.
A major goal of the BCES library is to encourage independent reading. We participate each year in the
Cross County Reading Challenge. This is a friendly competition with other schools in the county that encourages students to read and log their independent reading. Students may log their entries in the library or from home. (I have included the web link below.) I thank you in advance for your support in our mission to make our children lifelong readers.

Sora is a student reading app that provides them with access to thousands of online books. Sora is available to all students through ClassLink. Once students select the Library icon they will have access to the library apps, including Sora. Students can also use the following link: https://soraapp.com/library/sullivanbocesny. One can also get the Sora app from the App Store or Google Play.
Steps to using SORA:
