Robert Kensinger- Director 309-745-9308 director@shareourfaith.org or edudirector@shareourfaith.org

Hello, my name is Robert Kensinger. I have the wonderful opportunity of becoming the Director of FLCC. I started my college journey at Illinois Central College, where I received my Associates Degree. I then attended Eureka College, where my major was in elementary education with a specialization in social sciences. I received my Bachelor degree in December of 2009.

I have worked with many children over the course of my education/career and have enjoyed it very much. While attending Eureka High School I was a teacher’s assistant for four years at the Head Start program. While in high school and after I graduated, I worked at the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home and later at Noah’s Ark Children’s Center, a local pre-school/daycare, where I was employed as the Assistant Director. At Noah’s Ark I was also the infant, toddler, 2’s, 3’s, school age, preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten teacher. I then went to work at Peoria Hebrew Day School where I was the Principal. I also taught Kindergarten and 1st grade. I then came to Faith Lutheran Childcare Center as Director of Staff and Curriculum and now I am the Director!

I look forward to working with your child during their time at Faith Lutheran Child Care Center. If you ever have any questions, or comments, please feel free to contact me.

Pam Heimer- Assistant Director 309-745-9308 Ext:21 assistantdirector@shareourfaith.org

My name is Pam Heimer and I am the assistant director here at Faith Lutheran Child Care Center. I live in Peoria Heights with my husband, two daughters and two dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family and doing arts and crafts projects.

I graduated from National Louis University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood and Sports Management in 1990. I have been in the Early Childhood field for 30 years. Over the years I have worked in several facilities as a teacher, assistant director and I was also a director. I enjoy working with children and their families. For 6 years I worked with in home child care providers. I helped them to improve their facility by teaching how to do lesson plans, to understand licensing standards of DFCS and to improve their over all child care facility.

One of my favorite quotes is “It takes a big heart to help shape little minds.” My heart is always for the children and the families that I care for. I enjoy watching children learn and I love their facial expressions when they have learned something new.
