Expanding Fair Lawn School's Technology Initiative to TJMS and MMS

DISTRICT MISSION 

The mission of the Fair Lawn Public Schools is to promote continuous improvement and high levels of learning, to foster self-confidence and support success for all students, and to engender productive and humane citizens empowered by the critical, technological communication tools necessary to function democratically in a global society.


DISTRICT GOALS

STATEMENT: Develop digital learning environments to foster Student understanding for success in the 21st century.


OBJECTIVES:

* Increase access to virtual learning experiences.

* Ensure the technology infrastructure meets district needs.

* Increase integration of technology with the curriculum.

* Create a professional development plan for the teachers.

* Prepare students to participate in a technical world.


To ensure our students and schools are ready for the 21st century, Fair Lawn Public Schools implemented a 1:1 initiative at the Fair Lawn High School during the 2019 - 2020 school year.  This technology initiative expanded to the Middle schools in the 2021-22 school year.   All Fair Lawn Middle School students in Memorial and Thomas Jefferson schools, are issued a Chromebook for more personalized learning opportunities both in and outside of school.
