Media Arts 1 Final Projects

It's a Wrap! Term 1 Students Complete Final Project

For the past twenty-three weeks, Media Art students developed new video production skills, and in January, students wrapped up their media studies with their Media Arts 1 Final Project.

For this year's final project, students chose between three choices ranging in difficulty. Students applied the skills developed in the past semester to create their final project. Options for the final project included:

1. A Public Service Announcement

2. A Story-driven Commercial

3. A Simple Story

Students could also revisit any older options provided in previous projects. Now complete with Media Arts 1, students can return and enroll in next year's Media Arts 2 class!

Student Reflections

After completing their final projects, students created portfolios and reflected on their experience in Media Arts 1. One student wrote: "Since taking this class I've become more curious in other people's projects. I think that because I now know how much effort, time, and skill goes into a project, I am more impressed and intrigued with others'." Another student added "I've learned how to collaborate with others on video related projects in a productive way."
