Coach Newberg has been the Assistant Varsity Coach at Fairfield Ludlowe since the 2014 season and was recognized as the Assistant Softball Coach of the Year for the state of Connecticut in 2016. She was a four-year varsity player at New Britain High School and a pitcher/utility player at Sweet Briar College in Virginia. There, she was named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic Team in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. During her student teaching, she served as the pitching coach for E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. She currently teaches history at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
