Earlier This Month a 17-year-old Cheerleader in North Carolina went into Cardiac Arrest. Thankfully her mom knew CPR and was able to start CPR while someone got an AED. And the AED was able to revive her. We are very glad that she is ok! And this is exactly why we need AEDs in public places. Who knows what would have happened if there had not been one nearby.

This week a 12-year-old in Newark, New Jersey passed away after going into cardiac arrest during a football incident. It took EMS 30 minutes to arrive and no one at the practice no one knew CPR and no AEDs were available. This is why we need to have more AEDs in public places and have more people learn CPR. You never know when you may need it. Our hearts go out to the family and we hope nothing like this will ever happen to anyone again.
