The "Mane" Connection is a central location for educational resource videos for Fairfield Elementary. Some videos will provide you will specific instructional strategies to use at home while others may provide clarifying information regarding a specific topic.


Ohio's Early Literacy Pilot

Fairfield Elementary is a member of Ohio’s Early Literacy Pilot. Ohio’s Early Literacy Pilot supports teachers and administration with the implementation of evidence-based language and literacy strategies. Implementation includes professional development in the science of reading, instructional and systems coaching, family engagement and use of data to inform instruction. 2020-2021 is the fourth and final year where the focus is placed on family engagement. As part of the family engagement plan, Fairfield Elementary has created the following action steps:

  • Enhance annual fall Curriculum Night

  • Greater support for families to increase young children’s literacy development

  • Improve communications between school and home, especially for students receiving anything other than core instruction
