Program

Fairfield I.S.D. offers flexible program options, allowing for creative problem solving, critical and productive thinking, and extensive guided and independent research related to the four (4) core academic areas. These options provide a learning continuum and reinforces the strengths, needs, and interests of gifted and talented students. Allowing and encouraging students to pursue areas of interest in selected disciplines will achieve this differentiated content.

Grades k-5th:

Pull-out/Push-in

Student have daily GT classes, enrichment in the classroom, TPSP, acceleration and flexible pacing, guest speakers, and field trips. Services during and outside school hours.

Grades 6th-12th

Push-In/Full-time Inclusion

Students art fed into the Core Subject Honors Program, enrichment electives, credit by exam, college prep, independent study options, extra curricular activities, schedule modifications. Services during and outside school hours.

Usage of Funds: FairfieldISD supports the GT program with state funds, local funding, donations, grant writing, and parent support.
