Invitation to Apply for Board Membership – Fairfield Foster Closet

We are excited to announce that the Fairfield Foster Closet is seeking dedicated, passionate, and community-minded individuals to serve as founding members of our Board of Directors.  As we work to expand our impact and better serve the children in the foster care system, we are looking for individuals who are eager to help guide the strategic direction of the organization and support our mission.

About Fairfield Foster Closet:
Our mission is to provide essential items—such as clothing, school supplies, and personal care products—to children in foster care, ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment for children in transition, offering them a sense of stability and hope during difficult times.

Why Serve on the Board?
As a board member, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of the organization. Your contributions will help us build a strong foundation for continued growth, ensure the financial health of the organization, and engage with our community to raise awareness about the challenges facing children in foster care.

We are looking for board members with expertise in the following areas:

• Fundraising & Development

• Financial Management & Budgeting

• Marketing & Communications

• Strategic Planning

• Community Outreach & Advocacy

• Volunteer Coordination

• Legal or Governance Expertise

• And other skills that can help further our mission.

Commitment:
Board members are expected to attend quarterly meetings, actively participate in board activities, and assist with fundraising and outreach efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable children in our community.
