Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Laura Monnier and I am the school counselor at North Elementary in Fairfield. I’m so excited to be a part of such a wonderful school and community! This is my 18th year in Fairfield, I have worked as an Intervention Specialist and a School Counselor.

As a school counselor my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal and social/emotional development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families and community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all North Elementary students and families.

Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator or parent/guardian. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child. If you would like for me to meet with your child please do not hesitate to contact me.

Student and family privacy is very important. All information shared with a school counselor will remain confidential unless a student shares that someone is harming them or they plan to harm themselves or someone else. Information may also be shared with administration and teachers/staff with student or parent permission.
