Algebra Course Info: Students will study linear, quadratic, and exponential functions and their related transformations, equations, and associated solutions. Students will connect functions and their associated solutions in both mathematical and real-world situations. Students will use technology to collect and explore data and analyze statistical relationships. In addition, students will study polynomials of degree one and two, radical expressions, sequences, and laws of exponents. Students will generate and solve linear systems with two equations and two variables and will create new functions through transformations.
Google Classroom: Students will be given the code in class. Parents/Guardians may be added upon request.
Textbook: Login information for the online textbook can be on google classroom. Students can check out a textbook from the library.
Notes: Students have access to the teacher's notes through OneNote. A link will be provided on google classroom.
Remind: Info will be given out in class.
Supplies:
1 inch 3 Ring Binder
Dividers
Notebook Paper
Pencils
Ruler
Colored Pencils or Markers

What to expect:
Typically there is an assignment every day. Students will have 15 minutes or more in class to work on the assignment. If they don't finish in class, it will be homework.
Assignments are always due the next class day.
Halfway through a chapter we will review the material with an extra practice worksheet then take a quiz (open note) the next day.
At the end of every chapter we will have a chapter review then take a test the next day.
Quizzes and Tests are designed to be completed within the class time. Only students with accommodations will receive extra time.
At the end of every quarter students will take a Notes/Folder Test. Questions will come from the calendar and notes.
All notes and assignments are posted on google classroom as well as a video of the notes (similar to what the students will see and hear in class).
Students are expected to show ALL work on assignments, quizzes, and tests. Students will NOT receive full credit if only answers are given.
Amount of Grades per Quarter:
Approx. 20 Daily Assignments
3-4 Quizzes
3 Tests and 1 Project
