This is my sixth year at Brashier and my 25th year of teaching. I have been teaching Middle School Math, Algebra, Algebra 2, and Freshman Success for the past 24 years.
I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education in 1990 and I received my Masters Degree from Lander University in 2004.
I grew up on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio and moved to South Carolina in 1994 with my husband, Mike. We lived in Greenwood for 10 year where I taught at Southside Middle School and then Westview Middle School. While in Greenwood, my daughter, Maggie was born. She recently graduated from Anderson University and is a nurse at Bon Secour Hospital downtown working on the oncology floor. In February of 2024, she got married and lives in Piedmont. This past summer, they had a baby girl, Ellie Kate. In 2004, we moved to Simpsonville to be closer to family, and in 2005, my son, Austin, was born. Austin graduated from Brashier in May of 2024 and is currently a sophomore at Erskine College. He will be playing baseball there.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and read.
