Ebooks are a great way to get access to books using a computer, Kindle Fire, Nook, phone, or tablet.
Audio books read themselves to you. These are a efficient method of expanding your vocabulary. In other words, you will learn new words and how to say them.
Reading apps can be installed on your phone or tablet to give you access to their collection of ebooks and audiobooks.
AR Points are earned by taking an AR quiz about the book. Not all books have a quiz, so check here first. http://arbookfind.com
ATOS Book Level [BL] is a number that shows the difficulty of a book. 1 for 1st graders. 3 for 3rd grade. Half way through 6th grade would be 6.5.
Interest Level [IL] is based on a book's content including theme, characterization, and plot. The interest level attached to the book indicates age group appropriateness.
LG = Lower Grades (K-3)
MG = Middle Grades (4-8)
MG+ = Upper Middle Grades (6 and up). Most MG+ books are marketed as YA (Young Adult) for Interest Level. But still check for age appropriateness.
UG = Upper Grades (9-12).
Just because you read at a 12th grade level, does not mean that 12th grade material is appropriate for your age. You could be a really great reader, but not ready for content above your interest level [IL].
Remember, everything may be accessible, but not everything is beneficial. Please choose reading material that is appropriate for their maturity level. A smart reader knows when they are not ready for a topic. There's no rush to grow up. If you make a mistake, or a book suddenly changes from what you expected, stop reading and find another book.
