Selection Criteria:
Student must be a Fabius-Pompey junior or senior.
Student must have attended Fabius-Pompey for one complete semester.
Student must have a cumulative scholastic average of 90.0 as calculated by the Guidance Office over five semesters (10 quarters) of high school.
Students will be evaluated by the Faculty Council on the basis of service, leadership, and character.
Final selection will be by a majority vote of the Faculty Council.
Timeline for NHS Selection:
February of junior year: students notified of academic eligibility (based on overall GPA).
February: eligible candidates receive selection materials.
March: Faculty Council reviews materials and selects new members.
April: new member induction ceremony
May: officer elections held for upcoming school year.
Note:
Students who are not academically eligible or are not selected as juniors can still be selected as seniors if they meet academic eligibility requirements and submit selection materials.
