Selection

Selection Criteria:

• Student must be a Fabius-Pompey junior or senior.

• Student must have attended Fabius-Pompey for one complete semester.

• Student must have a cumulative scholastic average of 90.0 as calculated by the Guidance Office over five semesters (10 quarters) of high school.

• Students will be evaluated by the Faculty Council on the basis of service, leadership, and character.

• Final selection will be by a majority vote of the Faculty Council.

Timeline for NHS Selection:

• February of junior year: students notified of academic eligibility (based on overall GPA).

• February: eligible candidates receive selection materials.

• March: Faculty Council reviews materials and selects new members.

• April: new member induction ceremony

• May: officer elections held for upcoming school year.

Note:

• Students who are not academically eligible or are not selected as juniors can still be selected as seniors if they meet academic eligibility requirements and submit selection materials.
