Research areas

The research efforts are focused on one main topic: lighting. But there are several areas with lighting that I am interested in: Daylight in Architecture, Integrative Lighting, Lighting Pollution in urban environments.

Daylight in architecture

It refers to the use and integration of natural sunlight as a fundamental design element in buildings. Daylighting design needs to consider site orientation and building characteristics such as the size and placement of windows, glazing, and facade shading.
