Define the Controlling Records and Visibility in Reference Table

Exto allows you to configure the standard controlling fields and dependent fields that automatically display data per the selected (reference) value.

Step 1: Access the Reference Tables menu within the Custom Module side panel

Step 2: Click the Add new reference table button on the top-right-hand side of the list view

Step 3: Specify the reference table details:

A. Module/Master* [Mandatory] - Select the Module/Master value from the drop-down list.

Note: The Module/Master drop-down value is fetched from the Master Designer Form.

B. Table* [Mandatory] - Select the Table name from the drop-down menu.

Note: The Table drop-down value is fetched from the Table field value in Master Designer Form.

C. Record Visibility* [Mandatory] Set the Record Visibility as Relative or Absolute based on the business requirement.

Note: To see the tenant-level records, select "Absolute" from the Record Visibility drop-down list; to see the parent-level records, select "Relative"

D: Reference Fields Expand the "Reference Field" drop-down list and define the standard fields for selection.

Note: The custom fields that you created in the Master Module Form displays in the drop-down list.

Step 4: From the Fields tab in the bottom section, click the + symbol and set the dependent Fields(select from drop-down list) that automatically displays data as per the selected (reference) value.

Step 5: Save your updates

Result: The created Reference table displays in the list view. Your configuration is now ready to be applied in Forms and Tables.
