Hello my name is….

Robin Focht and I am from Pennsylvania. I received my Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2012. I am currently working towards my Doctoral degree in special education. I have been teaching for 9 years in an urban school setting where 99% of the student population come from low socioeconomic households and are African American.  Prior to that, I worked as a behavioral therapist for early childhood students. I have predominantly taught autistic support, but I have also taught multiple disability support as well as experienced one year in general education as a middle school teacher. I am in my third year as the Special Education Compliance Monitor for my K-8 school. My future goals include obtaining my principal certification as well as a secondary masters degree in special education law.
