By completing the advertisement review process, you can be sure that your content will be properly aligned with carefully crafted eXp brand guidelines, that it will be free from inaccuracies and misleading information, and that it will be consistent with eXp’s core values. With your content reviewed and approved you can concentrate on what you do best – sell real estate and promote the eXp Realty opportunity!
How long does it take?
We review all agent-created material submissions as quickly as possible. Most content is simple to review and can take as little as two to three business days. However, some ads are more time and resource intensive and can take up to a week from the time of submission for a full review. Plan your marketing activities accordingly.
Who will review my materials?
A member of the Agent Compliance team will initiate the review process and coordinate additional reviews with your state broker, the Legal Department, and eXp's Marketing group to ensure your content adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as eXp’s Policies and Procedures.
Step 1: What content needs to be reviewed?
Needs to be reviewed:
General ads promoting eXp Realty (non-property related)
Ads created for the purpose of agent attraction including:
Social Media
Attraction Flyers
Websites
YouTube videos
Emails
Targeted text messages, social media messages, etc.
Job postings on platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, local classifieds, etc.
Do no submit listing and property-related ads, business cards, yard signs, team logos, and property flyers through the form below. These should be submitted directly to your state broker before use and not through this site
CLICK HERE for a directory containing state broker contact information. Scroll through to locate your broker or type the two-letter state abbreviation in the search bar and they will be the first result.
This checklist, while not comprehensive, is designed to help you consider the components of your material to ensure it is compliant with eXp’s Policies and Procedures. Please verify that your content is in agreement with the following:
General
Proper usage of official eXp branding and logos. For clarification on this please visit the eXp Brand Resource Page.
Your name and contact information prominently displayed.
Advertisements will not be created with the intent to SPAM individuals that have not opted into being contacted.
Inappropriate income claims are prohibited. If your advertisement discusses earnings or revenue share, be sure to add the appropriate income disclaimer.
Avoid commentary and/or making forward-looking statements and forecasts of eXp stock performance.
If your ad is posted on social media, blogs, or websites include the following disclaimer, “Opinions are my own and not the views of eXp Realty”.
Advertisements should not include political content.
Avoid using vulgar language and images.
Video
Please provide a transcript for your agent-produced videos. This will help to expedite the review process and assure that it is accurately evaluated.
Submit your script before filming so adjustments can be more conveniently implemented. Re-shooting and editing video after the fact is much more time and resource intensive.
If eXp-created videos are part of your ad, make sure videos are embedded and not copied. If you have questions about this please reach out to Agent Compliance.
Websites
If you are submitting a personally-created website for review, please provide a link to the site and a PDF copy of each page of the website.
Step 3: Content Submission
You’ve created your personalized content and reviewed the checklist – you’re almost there!
Once you have attached your content and submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email outlining the details of your submission. A member of the Agent Compliance team will coordinate and complete the review of your content within five business days of your submission.
If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to our team directly by emailing compliance@exprealty.net.
