The purpose of this website is to tell potential players of the Sims the different features of each game. There are plenty of guides about the different games in the Sims franchise. I am trying to have an unbiased approach toward each game. Both games have good and bad aspects. Informing players about the different features and the pros and cons of each games is to help people decide which game they want to play. My audience is people 13 and over (since The Sims games are rated T for teen) and those who have an interest in playing the Sims. People who also play simulation games are also part of my audience.
Though The Sims 3 released in 2009, I started playing the game in 2013 when I turned 13. Over the years, I have gotten all 11 expansion packs. I have played all the packs to some extent, some more than others. I started playing The Sims 4 around 2016, though it came out in 2014, and the reason why I started playing later because I was not interested in The Sims 4 when it was initially released. I have all but one expansion pack for The Sims 4 and a own some of the game packs, stuff packs, and kits. The reason I do not have all the packs for The Sims 4 is because they do not interest me and/or they are too expensive.
I love playing the Sims games. It has been a place to escape to where I can play out my ideal life. Playing challenges, experimenting with different traits, and playing the different packs all make the game enjoyable. The little deatils also make it interesting. There is so much weird logic that the games have also make it hilarious to play. In The Sims 3, to become a surgeon in the medical career track, all your sim has to do is raise their logic skill and do some research. The drama I can put my sims through have no real-life consequences. One time in The Sims 3, my sim who lived in Bridgeport and wanted to become a 5-star celebrity, started dating Lola Belle, another celebrity (befriending a celebrity can help raise your sims' celebrity rank). Belle's boyfriend, Kai Leiko, did not like that I stole his girlfriend, so I put Leiko in a room, took away the door, and he starved to death. Since murder is not a crime in the game, my sim was not arrested. Another time, I had my married sim cheat on another woman and get her pregnant. His relationship with his wife tanked.
This is a website for my Technical Writing class. It is my final project.
