Booking Guidelines

Arrival: Bangkok (BKK) 

• • • • Arrive between 5:00 (5 am) and 23:59 (11:59 pm) on the day your program begins in Bangkok, Thailand (Suvarnabhumi Airport, airport code: BKK)

        • Please note that you will commonly depart 1 day early to arrive on your program start date.

Departure: Chiang Mai (CNX) 

• • • • Depart between 5:00 (5 am) and 23:59 (11:59 pm) on the day your program ends  on the day your program ends out of Chiang Mai, Thailand (Chiang Mai International Airport, airport code: CNX)

Options to book your flight (once you've been notified to do so)

    • Use StudentUniverse GLA's Recommended Travel Agency

    • GLA recommends families avoid booking separate tickets with separate airline carriers and to avoid flights on Spirit or Frontier Airlines.

Unaccompanied Minor Program

• • • Unaccompanied Minor Program: Typically, this program is required by airlines for travelers 14 years & younger when traveling alone (each airline is different). 

    • Please contact us if you’ve purchased the optional Unaccompanied Minor service for your student and require a point of contact for arrival/departure.

Suggested Route

For each program, we suggest a flight route that is the most direct, with the fewest number of stops, and always leaving from a US gateway airport. Check the suggested routes on the Flight Portal.
