Booking Guidelines 

• • Fly into and out of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (Las Américas International Airport, airport code: SDQ)

  • Arrive anytime after 09:00 (9am) on the day your program begins.

  • Depart between 05:00 (5am) and 20:00 (8pm) on the day your program ends.

    • Use StudentUniverse GLA's Recommended Travel Agency

    • GLA recommends families avoid booking separate tickets with separate airline carriers and to avoid flights on Spirit or Frontier Airlines.

Unaccompanied Minor Program

• • • Unaccompanied Minor Program: Typically, this program is required by airlines for travelers 14 years & younger when traveling alone (each airline is different). 

    • Please contact us if you’ve purchased the optional Unaccompanied Minor service for your student and require a point of contact for arrival/departure.

Suggested Route

For each program, we suggest a flight route that is the most direct, with the fewest number of stops, and always leaving from a US gateway airport. Check the suggested routes on the Flight Portal.
