Tips for searching:
Tips for searching:
- Check Your Prospective Schools. Search their website or call the financial aid office. Remember that applying for admission and applying for scholarships is a separate process with different deadlines.
- You should never pay money to find scholarships. Beware of organizations asking you for money to apply for scholarships.
- Check with parents and grandparent’s employers. Many companies have scholarships specifically for their employee’s dependents.
- Prepare letters of recommendation. Start asking teachers, counselors, family friend professionals, employers, church leaders and other adults that know you for letters with plenty of notice.
