"These are brilliant, self-contained compositions that also lend themselves perfectly to the Modern Jazz idiom. Only Billy Childs could have pulled this off with such intelligence and certainty of vision." - DownBeat
"Billy Childs is creating some of the most beautiful music around. Childs and Blade are creating a canon of work equal to the piano and drum teams of Ahmad and Vernell, Tommy and Elvin, Evans and Motian, or Chick and Roy. Yes, the piano and drum interplay on the winds of change is that good!" - Modern Drummer
"Today, most Jazz musicians imagine that they are composers. Billy Childs really is one. He writes wonderful melodies and offers them to the world in elegantly proportioned, complete musical forms." - Stereophile
"Fans from most any period of Billy Childs’ career will find much to like on this marvelous, intriguing release. he continues to inspire, no matter which musical genre he explores. - Audiophile Audition
