Good Luck to all our Excel swimmers who will be competing this week in downtown Nashville. We are excited to be competing against two of the best teams in Southeastern Swimming and look forward to seeing how we stack up. Things to watch for:

Number of swimmers- Excel swimmers will represent just under half of all the swimmers in the meet. While numbers don't tell the whole story (HSA swimmers have to travel) they do give us insight into the direction of our program.
New Qualifiers- We already have 93 qualifiers for the SES conference meet and we are looking to push that number over 100 this weekend.
VCC Rankings- While there is no scoring this weekend, we can get an idea of how we all stack up based on the Virtual Club Rankings that will be released early next week. At the moment, we are ahead of both HSA and NAC but of course, neither club has swum a meet yet.
Attitude- Our team's behavior, body language and demeanor during the last meet was so exciting and we look forward to seeing that same energy this weekend.

We are looking for summer swim instructors to work with our swim school. It's a great way to help teach an important life skill, introduce new swimmers into the Excel Family, and even earn extra summer cash. If you are age 15 or older, have experience with all four competitive strokes, and want to train the next generation of Excel swimmers then this is the perfect opportunity for you. If you are a Senior swimmer with Excel, we are happy to work around your practice/meet schedule and in most cases your summer travel. Our dryland partnerships across all sites are up and running! FY2 Fitness in Gallatin and Blueprint Fitness in Murfreesboro began training our Varsity and Senior athletes last week at those locations and we are excited for this new opportunity.
