Which group will I be placed in?

• All students new to orchestra will be placed in the First year orchestra.

• Any students having completed First year orchestra or have more than one year of experience in private lessons may join the advanced orchestra

How do I get an instrument?

• Most students rent an instrument through Vermont Violins or Ellis Music.

• You may use a family or personal instrument - please show it to Mr. Valyou to make sure it's in good working order.

What size violin / viola / cello should I rent?

• When you return your sign up sheet, Mr. Valyou will measure you for the correct size instrument.

• If you rent from Vermont Violins, they will also measure you when you go to rent from them.
