Victoria starts building up a newborn vampire army in attempt to defeat the Cullens and kill off Bella, like Edward did to her former lover. Alice, being able to see the future forsees this happening, and lets everyone but Bella know. In order to not freak her. Meanwhile, Bella and Edward converse about marriage and turning her to a vampire. When Bella finds out that Edward has been keeping the problem with Victoria going on from her , she gets mad. She leaves with Jacob and spends time with his tribe. There, Jacob confesses to her. Later,   Edward ends up proposing to Bella when they are spending the night alone in his family home. Once jacob finds out, it doesn't go all to well. Bella begs him to stay but he doesn't believe there is a good reason to if she doesn't like him back so she tells him the only thing he wants to hear. 

Weeks after the events from before, Edward and Bella are on their way to get married. They have their honeymoon on an island off to the side of Rio De Janeiro, after 2 weeks of being there with Bella noticing symptoms of throwing up and unusual stomach pains, she realizes she might be pregnant. Edward and Carisle are in disbelief, this has never happened. The baby grows quickly, her health decreasing over time. She gets noticeably sick and everyone worries. They did an emergency C- section on her, which left her loosing a ton of blood, they all believed she was dead so Edward injected his venom into her and bit her all over. Hoping she'd come back. Meanwhile, Jacob was on his way to kill Renesmee, the baby who killed the one he loved. Yet, once he took a look into her eyes he imprinted on her.

Bella comes back. She sits up looking normal, yet she's not. The venom did it's job and there she was sitting in front of everyone now a vampire. Her husband, Edward helps her control her initial thirst, one of the Cullens members saw Renesmee and assumed she was an immortal child: a type of vampire transformed in childhood who, because it cannot be reasoned with or trained, sucks the blood out of humans uncontrollably. No questions asked, she runs to the Volturi. They want to execute Renesmee, Alice sees this in her vision and the Cullens try to gather as many witnesses to prove Renesmee is not an immortal child as possible.
