Hamilton "Ham" Porter is the catcher at the sandlot. He is one of the fan-favorites for a comedic scenes. He's iconically known for his line "You're killing me smalls!" Another famous scene he is known for is the treehouse scene, where he talks about the evil beast that lurks in Mr. Mertles property. Another fan-favorite character is Benny. He was the best baseball player out of the crew, and was the kindest. Overall, he is a really good person. Due to his baseball skill, he was basically assigned the leader of the group. He was very passionate in baseball, and eventually paved his way into Major Leage Baseball, and went on to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Scotty was the protagonist of The Sandlot. He had recently moved to town and was introduced to the crew early to his arrival. Shortly after he started playing at the sandlot, he made a huge mistake which put him into the biggest "pickle" of his life. The rest of the movie is about him and the crew trying to resolve the conflict.
Michael Palledorous, nicknamed "Squints" for his thick, black glasses is known for his crush on Wendy Peffercorn. Iconically, Squints along with all the boys get kicked out of the community pool after he causes a scene with Wendy while she was lifeguarding. At the end of the film, it is revealed that he ends up marrying his crush, Wendy.
Alan, nicknamed "Yeah Yeah" for it being his famous line, and it always starting his sentences. He loves baseball, and played a big role in retrieving the ball from the beast. At the end of the movie, it says that later on Alan joins the military.
Kenny played pitcher for the crew. He contributed immensely when they played the Tigers. He also played a role in attempting to retrieve the ball, but ultimately failed in his big attempt.
