WWEWG Senior Night White Out Blizzard 

Join us Friday, February 13th as we celebrate WWEWG Hockey Senior Night and bring the energy to the rink!

Location: Benny Magiera Ice Rink

Senior Night Ceremony: 7:45 PM

Game vs Cranston: 8:00 PM

Students, families, and fans wear WHITE and help turn the stands into a full White Out Blizzard as we honor our seniors and cheer on the team.

Bring the noise, bring the energy, and help us pack the barn for a night our seniors will never forget.

CCRI will be holding a Driver's Ed class during April vacation at the Senior High School. Hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30am- 4 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 2 pm.

The girls 4x800M relay took 2nd place at last night's Freshmen State Championship Meet.  Congratulations to Eliana Archambault, Cailin Grzybowski, Layla Lacroix, and Penny Roberts.

 

There will be a mandatory student council meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4th, at 2 pm. We will be discussing our next school-wide event, which will be happening in March. Please see Mr. Votto or Mr. Anzalone if you cannot attend.

Going forward, Senior High attendance can be called into or emailed to Dawn Jarvis at dawn_jarvis@ewg.k12.ri.us or at 397-6898 ext. 2201.

There will be a junior class council meeting in room 204 after school on Tuesday, February 3. The meeting will last until about 2:20, so be sure to plan afterschool transportation accordingly.

 

The Literary Magazine Club will be meeting Tuesday, 2/3 after school in r00m 215.

There will be an important meeting Wednesday, 2/4, for Model Legislators in room 215. This is the last chance for new members to join.

 

Our Lady Knights got their 10th straight win against Cranston East 48-30. The top scorers for the night were Brielle Frenette with 19 and Kate Hebert with 17. It would be absolutely amazing if we could get some high school fans to support our 1st place team.

Saturday was the Track and Field Class Championships! The girls team took home 4th place overall! Leading the way for points was Nini Olawuyi who placed first in the 55 meter hurdles, long jump, and high jump! Nini earned First Team All Class in each of her events! Lily Chabot took first in the 3000 meter run also earning First Team All Class status! The girls 4x800 with Eliana Archambault, Cailin Gryzbowski, Layla Lacroix, and Penny Roberts placed third and earned Third Team All Class! We'd also like to give a shout out to Kate Hebert for placing 4th in the 300 meter dash, as well as both boys and girls 4x200 teams who each placed 5th overall!! Finally, we are wishing the best of luck to our freshmen girls who will be competing tonight and our boys who will be competing on Wednesday in the freshmen state championships!

There will be a math team practice this coming Tuesday 2/3/26 from 1:45 to 2:30 in room 102. Please make every effort to attend this and one more practice before the last meet of the season in early March. We will be reviewing our game plan for meet 4 and will check out our state standings so far. Please see Mrs. Borges with any questions.

There will be a mandatory DECA Meeting after school on Tuesday, February 3rd in S202 to prepare for the Career Development Conference coming up. Please reach out to Mr. Richall with any questions or concerns.

This past Wednesday was the RIIL Track and Field Division Championships! EWG's Girls teamed placed THIRD overall with a score of 92 points, just 4 points behind second place! Leading the way for points was Nini Olawuyi who took home first place in the 55 meter hurdles, high jump, and long jump earning First-Team All Division status in each event! Lily Chabot took first place in the 1500 meter run and second in the 1000 meter run earning First and Second Team All Division. Kate Hebert took first in the 300 meter dash earning First Team All Division, and also anchored the girls 4x200 meter relay with Lilly Roch, Scarlett Salter, and Ella Wolstencroft who all earned Second Team All Division! Mackenzie Fernstrom placed third in shot put and earned Third Team All Division! On the boys side, EWG tied for 7th overall in the Division! Congratulations to Drew Stone who placed third in the boys long jump, earning Third Team All Division! Outside of our All Division athletes we also had several other individuals and relays who all medaled and contributed to our team scores! Great work EWG!! 

Congratulations to the EWG Math Team!!! Meet 3 was held on the Tuesday before the start of exams and 24 students attended to challenge themselves to the usual 3 rounds of competition. At this meet EWG earned a score of 40 total points...the highest team score in more than a decade AND three individuals scored perfect rounds having correctly answered all three questions in the round. Congratulations to all who are part of the team. Stay tuned for more information on our next practice and meet and as always.... GO KNIGHTS!

You are invited to an exciting event right here in our auditorium. Come see our Talent Show! We are showcasing our student’s talents on Wednesday night, January 28th at 7 PM. All are invited! We will have singers, guitarists, instrumentalists, piano players, drummers and our teacher rock band Mid-Life Crisis which includes Mr. Gardiner, Mr. Nuzum, Mr. Anthony, Mr. Runner and our friend Ricky Therrien on electric guitar and lead voice! Other talent acts may include dance, magic and Martial Arts!


This event is a fundraiser for POPS and we are collecting a suggested donation of $5 at the door but that is just a suggestion. Anyone can come and enjoy our talent here at EWG. Thank you for supporting the performing arts at EWG by coming to our show!

Our Lady Knights have been on fire, going undefeated at 4–0 over the last eight days! Kate Hebert led the charge with an impressive 56 points, while Nini Olawuyi added 40 more. Brielle Frenette and Lila Salter have been unstoppable on both ends of the court, racking up steals, points, and assists. Cora Cranston has anchored the defense with relentless pressure and dominant rebounding. Freshmen Grace Lewis and Emma Silva continue to rise to the challenge, taking on upper-class opponents with confidence and skill. Emily Taylor and Izzy Tramonti bring nonstop energy, winning every 50/50 ball and chipping in timely buckets when the team needs it most. Strong contributions from Makenzie Fernstrom, Julia Martin, and Ashley Lussier rounded out an outstanding team effort. Keep it up, Lady Knights!

Sign up to be in our next Talent Show! Share your talent with us on our stage here at EWG on Wednesday night- January 28th- at 7 PM. We are looking for guitarists, piano players, singers, rock bands, duets, band instrumentalists, dancers, magicians, comedians, or any other kind of talent you can share with our EWG community. We have numerous acts already interested in signing up but there is room for lots more talent!! There are sign up forms in both the Junior High and Senior High offices, in the band room and in the chorus room. They are due by Friday, January 16th. Thanks, and let's have a great show!
