chapter 1 included the gang in the northern mountains after a failed robbery in a town called blackwater everyone is hungry and cold this chapter is mostly and tutorial to the rest of the game. Here you pick up Sadie Adler and rescue john from near death, attack an odriscal camp, rob Leviticus Cornwalls personal train go hunting with charles, who is a side character in the story and finally leave to go set up camp near a town called Valentine. You also rob Leviticus Cornwalls personal train.

The gang heads down to a place near a town called valantine called horshoe overlook. In this chapter you take the girls down to valantine and break up a fight. You also have a bar fight and learn of a fellow gang member in trouble. You save reverend swanson another member. Hunt a bear. Rescue Sean. Fight odriscals. Take out lenny to the bar. Rescue Micah. retrieve money from debtors. Rob a stagecoach. Rob a train. Take jack on a fishing trip. Steal sheep. Then you scout a new camp because of all the attention that is coming to your gang.

You move near the middle of two towns the grays and the Braithwaits which are in conflict at the moment you go in. Over this time you take advantage of both groups until they find you out and try to track you down. They then take jack Johns son. You go in and burn down the fields and the Braithwait manor and find out that jack in Saint Denis.

You leave rhodes and head down to saint dennis where jack is you are camping out in shady bell. You get jack back from a man called Angelo Bronte. You also rob a boat with a card game and a mailing store. After this you attack angelo brontes hous and kill him. After this your gang goes for one last highst but everything goes bad when the pinkertons show up and kill hosea and lenny in the end. You and the rest of the gang then flee the city on a boat and are heading for cuba but a storm sinks the ship and you wash up on an island called guarma.

You arrive on an island and find the rest of your gang throught this short chapter you fight a revolution of enslavement inside the island and finally escape after finishing the job.

The camp is slowly falling apart, and people are leaving Aurthur has tuberculosis and is near death and just wants to do good for whatever he has left. Dutch has been leaving people and not helping them by moving on for his "Plan". Arthur is trying to help a native tribe that is having conflict with the government. The leader's sun is a hot head and Dutch takes advantage of that by causing them to fight the government. Dutch wants to create what he calls noise to then disappear with money and live in paradise. Dutch has lost all of his morals mostly from Micah who had been convincing him of things as his new right-hand man. Dutch decides they are going to rob a train and are mostly successful except for john being shot and presumably dead. Abigail is captured and bill Javiar Micah and Dutch decide to leave her while Arthur and Sadie go to help her. They help her and Aurthur finds out that Micah has been giving locations of the group to the Pinkertons. Conflict rises when john comes back saying Dutch left him Arthur sees who Dutch truly is. Then Pinkertons scatter the group and Arthur can help john escape or go for the money either way he has a fight with Micah and either dies peacefully or violently depending on how your choices were before.
