Homework:
Homework is written on a homework board in each classroom. Students are expected to copy this homework into Google Keep upon entering the classroom each day.
Late assignments may not be given full credit. Some late assignments, especially those already reviewed in class, may not receive credit at all.
Students may be assigned detention to make up missing work. This should be viewed as an opportunity to improve.
When absent, follow individual teacher instructions/expectations for getting the homework missed. Whenever possible, seek this out the day you are absent and do not wait until you return to school.
Google Keep:
A homework "sticky note" should be created and maintained for each class and color-coded (for core classes) according to the class binder color.
Ela is red
Math is yellow
History is blue
Science is gray since the binder is black
Students are expected to enable the checkboxes when entering assignments.
Students are expected to record the date each task was assigned and simply check (click) when the assignment is completed. This will put a strikethrough on the task, but still allow it to be visible.
Students are NOT to delete any assignments, even when completed, until directed to by the teacher assigning the work. This will be done in bulk, whole class.
If work completion becomes a problem, students may be required to invite a parent/guardian to be linked to their Google Keep notes through email.
Being Prepared:
Students are expected to be prepared at all times. This may be considered part of a class grade.
Students should always have the following items for EVERY CLASS:
A school-assigned Chromebook with headphones/earbuds. Chromebook should be fully charged at the start of each school day.
Appropriate writing utensils
Specific class materials (notebooks, binders, folders, etc.)
An independent reading novel
