Hocus Pocus's setting was in Salem Mass, a haunted witch town. Many people visit Salem, because it's most popular for their witch trials. Salem is most popular during Halloween time, they have haunted festivals, activities, and events.

Salem has many attractions tourists love, most are historical museums, memorials, and other buildings and houses. You can visit the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, Essex Street Pedestrian Mall, Salem Maritime National Historic Site, Peabody Essex Museum, Bewitched Statue of Elizebeth Montgomery, Old Bury Point Cemetery, and House of Seven Gables.

The Salem Witch Trials was a period of time from 1692-1693, where people both men and women, were accused of witchcraft. This ended with 30 people dying. When being accused of performing witchcraft, you were taken to court to be proven guilty or not. In some cases, when people found you "using witchcraft" they would lie in court once you were executed for your behavior and died, they would say they saw your spirit talking to the devil.
