The first heist in GTA V is the Jewel Store Job. In this heist, you rob a jewelry store of it's valuables. In this heist you need 3 crew members to hire. The better ones you hire, the more money they take, but the easier the heist will be. For the 3 crew members, you need to choose a driver, gunman, and hacker. This heist also has two approaches. You can either choose to go in loud, or go in smart. In the loud approach, Franklin, Michael, and the gunman run in guns-blazing into the jewel store. Michael works crowd control while Franklin and the gunman take as much jewelry as they can. After the jewelry is taken, the Michael holds off the cops in a reinforced van while Franklin, the gunman, and the driver escape on dirt bikes. The heist ends when the cops are lost. The other approach is the smart approach. In this approach, Franklin plants pests in the vents above the stores, and Franklin, Michael, and the gunman run into the Jewel Store with pest control gear. However, the three each pull out guns, and take as much jewelry as they can. The escape on this approach is the same as the other approach. The Vangelico Jewel Store Heist has a maximum payout of heist $4,946,153 .
The second, and least successful heist in GTA V is the Merryweather Heist. In this heist, you steal a military weapon from a militia named Merryweather. Unlike the Jewel Store Job, there are no extra crew members to pay for. Like the Jewel Store Job, this heist has two approaches. The first approach is the freigter approach. For this approach, Michael plants bombs on a freighter ship where the military weapon lies. Franklin watches Michael with a sniper. Once the explosives are planted, Michael escapes the ship and explodes it. Then, Trevor in the submarine steals the weapon and Franklin picks up the sub and weapon from the water and they steal it succesfully. However, Lester shows up and states that if this military weapon is sold to the wrong person, wars could start, so the weapon is given back and no money is earned, making the heist unsuccesful. On the second approach (the Offshore approach), you steal a helicopter as Michael, who picks up the stolen submarine that Trevor is in. Once above water, Michael drops Trevor into the water where Trevor steals the weapon while Franklin holds off guards as the gunman. After Trevor has the weapon, Michael picks up Trevor and they escape with the weapon, but earn no money as Lester tells them not to sell the weapon.
The third heist in GTA V is the Paleto Score. In this heist, you steal tons of cash from a bank called the Blaine County Savings Bank which is in Paleto, or the northernmost end of San Andreas. This heist has only 1 crew member: a gunman. This heist also is unlike any other, as it only has one approach: the aggressive approach. In this approach, Trevor, Michael, Franklin, and the Gunman drive up to Paleto. Near the bank, Franklin is dropped off as he is the getaway driver stationed for when escape is needed. Once Franklin goes to the getaway vehicle, Michael, Trevor, and the gunman run straight into the bank's front entrance. The three then run into the back and take as much cash as they can. In the vault, the three change into almost bulletproof reinforced armor. The three then walk out, kill some cops, and meet up with Franklin, who drives the getaway vehicle: a forklift. This forklift picks up Michael, Trevor, and the gunman and brings them to the train station. The crew of now 4 due to Franklin joining fights cops through the train station and hops on a train to escape with the money successfully. The Blaine County Saving Bank heist is very successful, and pays a maximum of $8,016,020.
The fourth "heist" in GTA V is the Bureau Raid. In this heist, you steal a hard drive from the FIB (FBI) agency building. The reason that heist is in quotation marks is because many players don't consider stealing a hard drive a heist. This heist is like the Jewel store heist because Trevor doesn't participate. The Bureau Raid needs 3 crew members, a hacker, gunman, and driver. This heist also has 2 approaches, the firetruck approach and the Parachute approach. In the Firetruck approach, Michael is disguised as a janitor cleaning the floor of the FIB. However, while he does this, he plants bombs. After planting enough, Michael leaves the building and is picked up in a Firetruck by Franklin, where he changes into his fireman disguise and detonates the bomb. The two then run in with the gunman, steal the hard drive, and escape by rappelling down an elevator shaft while avoiding falling debris. Once out of the building, the Michael and Franklin run to the firetruck where they drive to their getaway vehicle, blow up the firetruck to hide evidence, and then run away from the cops in the getaway vehicle. In the parachute approach, Franklin and Michael drop onto the roof from a helicopter and sneak in with hacks. They then take out a few guards and sneak into the security room where the hard drive is. They then escape by rappelling on the outside of the building. Once on the ground, the two run to an ambulance and escape disguised in it. The total payout no matter what is $331,985.
The Union Depository
The gold
The fifth and final heist in GTA V is the Big Score. In this heist, you steal massive amounts of gold from a bank that has the tightest security in all of Los Santos. For this heist, you will need a crew of 5 members: 2 gunmen, 2 drivers, and 1 hacker. This heist has 2 approaches, the subtle approach and the obvious approach. In the subtle approach, Trevor, Michael, and a hostage worker for the Union Depository go into the vault of the Depository and take carts of gold. The 3 then load 2 carts of gold into 2 different cars. These cars are meant to deliver gold, which makes it even easier for Trevor and Michael to escape with the gold. Once Trevor and Michael escape, Franklin and the hacker have to hold off police from seeing the delivery trucks from going off route by switching traffic lights to make the police stuck. The crew then meets up in an alleyway where the getaway cars are, and you have to load gold into the cars as you fight off cops, who automatically notice you're off route. Once the cops are defeated, the three will escape in the getaway cars into a tunnel, into the back of two 16-wheel trucks' trailers. Once in the trucks, the heist will end successfully. The other approach is the obvious approach. In this approach, the three drive to the Depository. There the three split up with Trevor going to a helicopter and Michael and the gunman entering the building. While this happens, Franklin cuts open a wall that leads him to the vault, which he blows up. Once the wall blows up, police show up and Franklin has to fend off the police while the gunman loads the gold into crates. Once the gold is in the crates, it's transported into Trevor's helicopter. While the helicopters fly away, Franklin and the gunman fight the police. Once the police are defeated, the gold is delivered to a flatbed truck, and the crew celebrates their most successful heist. In total, the Union Depository Heist pays around $201,600,000.
