Rory Gilmore played by (Alex Bledel) is the main character of Gilmore Girls. Rory lives with her mom in the small town of Star Hollow where she goes to a private school called Chilton, one day with the dream of going to Harvard. Rory is a smart student in school and makes friends with a girl called Paris Geller.
Lorelai Gilmore played by, (Lauren Graham) is the second main character in the show. Lorelai had Rory when she was a young teen and left home to take care of her. Lorelai works at the Independence Inn.
Emily Gilmore played by, (Kelly Bishop) is Lorelai's mother who is a wealthy woman. Lorelai and her mother don't have a very good relationship but as they need money for Rory's private school they make a deal for them to come over every week for dinner and to chat with them.
Luke Danes played by (Scott Patterson) works at his coffee shop (Lukes Diner) which he is the owner of.
Richard Gilmore played by (Edward Hermamann) is Lorelai's father, and Rorys grandfather, in the beginning Lorelai doesn't have a good relationship with her father but eventually they try to work it out.
Sookie St. James played by (Melissa McCarthy) is the head chef at the Independence Inn and also Lorelai's best friend. Sookie helps Lorelai and Rory whenever they need something and is a good friend to them.
Paris Geller played by (Liza Well) is Rorys best friend that she met at Chilton. Paris used to be a stuck up snob when she first met Rory but over time she realised that they would be good friends.
Lane Kim played by (keiko Agena) is Rorys best friend from her hometown. Lane and Rory have been friends sense they have been little and always are doing something together throughout the show.
