The club was established back in 1899 but there rise in history started to come in 1969 in the era of Johan Cruyff. Cruyff a foreign player was signed on August 13, 1973. Barca's golden era started to come they started to see glory when Cruyff was signed and he was known as the best in the world during this time. All the memorable moments he made but one of the most important was there 5-0 win in the Bernabeu against Real Madrid. They started to rise in the leagues and they were broadcasted on national tv.

Now skipping forward time to 1990 when they won 4 consecutive Spanish leagues from 1990 to 94 while being coached by Johan Cruyff after he joined us after retirement. In the time being Barca was known as the dream team and Barca was finally known as one of the best clubs in soccer.

Now going up in time, in 2003, John Laporta was elected for president and brought new members and new collaborations. For example, in 2006 Barca joined with UNICEF. In 1999 the biggest Barcelona celebrations came when they celebrated there 100th anniversary. Everything changed in the 04/05 season when Ronaldinho was signed and Rijkaard became the coach. Ronaldinho changed the style of soccer in many ways. On May 17, 2006, Barca won there second Champions League in Paris on a 2-1 win against Arsenal. Barca succeeded in the following few seasons.
