Cobra Kai is a Netflix series about two time All Valley champion,  Daniel LaRusso, and fellow two time All Valley champion, Johnny Lawrence.  Johnny is opening a dojo to teach his best student Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai. On the other hand, the other two time champion , Daniel LaRusso is teaching Robby Keene. He is Johnny Laurence's son. The formal rivals students fight in the All Valley championship. Miguel won against Robby Keene so Johnny Laurences old sensei John Kreese came back and started co-teaching with Johnny. The next season, Johnny had to go out of town to see an old friend before he died. John Kreese decided to disobey Johnny and teach them no mercy, which would make the kids in Cobra Kai  a bunch of bullies. This made Johnny push him away and started to teach kids to show mercy.  Later that season,  there was a fight at the school and Miguel decided to show mercy to Robby.  Robby couldn't hold back his anger and kicked Miguel from the second floor down on the stairwell which put Miguel into a coma. After Johnny got Miguel back on his feet Kreese brought back Terry Silver, Co-founder of Cobra kai.
