Recess

Students will report to an assigned area of the playground to play, which will change each day. Use of the playground equipment will be restricted at this time. Hand sanitizer will be available and encouraged prior to and following recess.

Activities that are designed to encourage student contact will not occur, for example, all contact sports, four square, tag, etc will be restricted.

Playground supervision will be adequate to monitor and encourage active movement and to discourage social gathering of large groups of students.

During inclement weather, students will have indoor recess within their own classrooms and will be encouraged to play and socialize within their own personal learning spaces.
