Hi!  I'm Amanda Batts, Vocal and General Music teacher at McCutchanville.  I received my music degree from Ball State University, majoring in voice and piano.  My masters is in secondary education from the University of Southern Indiana.  This is my 26th year teaching music in the EVSC - I've taught middle school music at Washington Middle School, high school choir at Reitz, and general music at Harper and now McCutchanville.  I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the mustang family!

McCutchanville Music Opportunities

Students will have various opportunities to perform, either with their grade level in programs during the day or evening, and also as a member of our Choir if they choose to join as a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader.  Students also have the opportunity to be a part of Band or Orchestra as a 6th grader, and may also be selected for honors music opportunities in the EVSC.

Music Curriculum

Our focus in music is engaging learners to be Tuneful (able to think, play, read, and sing pitches), Beatful (able to maintain beat, recognize and respond to beat, and understand rhythms), and Artful (able to interpret music's expressive qualities and perform and respond to music performances artistically).  I incorporate the following curricula to enable students to grow toward these goals:
