I've sat in business mentorships where I was told to compartmentalize my emotions so I could get shit done.
I've listened to someone stand on a massive stage at a business conference with 1000 entrepreneurs and promise that their methodology would mean I'd never feel emotional in my business again.
That's when I knew I was in the wrong fucking room.
I don't want to build a business, a body of work, or a life that requires me to exile parts of myself to sustain it.

🎭 Sacred Theatre has roots in indigenous cultures from ancient, pre-colonial rituals, and ceremonies, designed to connect human beings with the spiritual realm, nature and ancestors. It was the backbone of the village. Communal healing through embodied storytelling.
🎤 To get comfortable being seen, I spent two years as a regular at live poetry readings and joined an improv group with yearly live showcases. I didn't just study visibility. I practiced it on stage, in front of real humans, until my body learned it was safe.
👨👩👧👦 The characters we invite into the spotlight are informed by Internal Family Systems, the parts view of the psyche. Exiles, managers, protectors. We give them the stage to be seen, heard, and held so you can integrate them into conscious awareness and return to SELF leadership, rather than being run by the younger parts still trying to keep you safe.
This is why the Spotlight works. It's not a concept. It's an experience your nervous system remembers.
