Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be auditioning alone? Or with others?
If you would like to be considered for a principal role, or a member of the singing ensemble, yes, you will be singing on your own and singing to the performance track. Those auditions will be held on Wednesday and Friday of the first week of school. If you are invited to callbacks - the following Monday - you will be reading pages from the script with one or two other actors. Those assignments will be provided in advance. If you are interested in being in the dance ensemble, for your audition, you will be learning some choreography (dance routine) and singing with a small group.
2. What if I'm only interested in being in the dance ensemble? Do I have to sing?
At the auditions for the dance ensemble, you will be asked to sing in a group of 6+ students, and not on your own.
PRO TIP: To increase your opportunities, consider signing up for a singing audition on Wednesday or Friday, and signing up for the dance ensemble auditions on Thursday.
